Sikeston, MO

Jarred Gene Sandlin, age 26, of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away at his home on March 9, 2026. He was born on January 11, 2000, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Lloyd Gene Sandlin and the late Carla Gean Willson.

Jarred graduated from Sikeston High School in 2018 and went on to work for Gene’s Tree Service. He had a deep love for sports, especially baseball and golf, and rarely missed a chance to watch a good game. As a young athlete, he played for the Bootheel Blaze and Stampede Baseball All-Stars, where he once led his age group in home runs. He cherished time spent with his family at the river and in life’s simpler moments. Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, Jarred had a gift for making people laugh when they needed it most, whether through a clever joke, a one-liner, or lighthearted trash talk during a game of poker or spades.

Above all, Jarred loved his family. He thrived on being surrounded by them, sharing stories, making memories, and simply enjoying one another’s company. His warm smile, easy laugh, and ability to brighten any room will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his father, Lloyd Gene Sandlin; stepmother, Linda Sandlin; brothers Jordon (Kayla) Mason, Jarrett Sandlin, Joseph Sandlin, Joel Sandlin, and Jonah Sandlin; sisters Jantzen Cain and Jayda Sandlin; uncles Carl Willson, Steve (Dora) Pitt, Rodger (Tammy) Pitt, and Cletus Counts; aunts Robin (Jacob) Pryor, Regina (Lee) Miller, and Angel Counts; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carla Willson, and his brother, Josh Stevens, with whom he is now joyfully reunited.
