Mistress of Ceremony will be Alma Holmes, Scripture and Prayer Reader will be Larry Major, and Officiant will be Pastor Wesley McNorton. Interment will follow at Richwood Memorial Gardens in Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 6 PM until 8 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, Louisiana.JaQuez, age 29, was born on March 23, 1996 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away March 14, 2026 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and friends in Monroe, Louisiana.He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmothers, Rosie Mae Kneeland and Loree Ivory; maternal great-grandfather, Charlie Ivory, Sr.; paternal great-grandmother, Fannie Grayson Jenson; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Mary Ann Coates, II; paternal great-grandparents, Jerry and Jannie B. Coates, Sr.His surviving maternal relatives are his mother, LaKesha Ivory; grandparents, Ella Nealon Ivory and Charlie Ivory, Jr.; aunt, Tonya Nealon and her husband Jamy Ard; uncle, Derrick Nealon and his partner Tammy Green. His surviving paternal relatives include his father, Jerry Coates, III; grandfather, Ricky Clemons; uncle, Corey Jenson; aunts, Ericka Coates, Aquariaus Coates-Boast, and her husband Ronald Boast, and Chenderquieter Coates. JaQuez also leaves to cherish a large extended family including many great-aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.JaQuez attended Ouachita Parish High School, was a member of Macedonia SDA Church and was known and loved by all.Pallbearers will be Allanzera Nealon, Derrick Nealon, Derrick Johnson, Ronald Boast, Levell Loggin, Trimaine Clemons, Cedrick Howard and Kameron Williams.Musical performers (in order) will be Yakeem "Shay" Boast, Brandon Jenson and Alma Holmes.The family would like to express their thanks and acknowledge Internal Medicine of the Twin Cities; Heart of Hospice (with special thanks to Shaleka, nurse and Trimika, aide; St. Francis (Dr. Aristoles Pena-Miches, Neurologist); Ochsner Health (Dr. Terry King, Cardiologist); Monroe Mental Health Clinic (Dr, Keith Westerfield, Psychiatrist); Absolute Care Inc.; People Unlimited (with special thanks to Jennifer Jones, caseworker); Next Phase (Walter Jenkins, barber).Out of respect to the grieving family, please take note of the following requests:1.
