Jaonne Marie Buckingham

Jaonne Marie Buckingham, 72, of Indianola, Iowa, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. Born on July 26, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Jack E. and Mary Elizabeth (Meusburger) Crise, she grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School. At her mother’s urging, she married Roger Buckingham on September 1, 1973. The couple made their home in Indianola for the past 45 years.

Jaonne spent much of her career working for Bob Allen Co. and Primary Source. A devoted member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, she served as a eucharistic minister and led youth classes. She found great joy in listening to her husband Roger make music and cherished every moment spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Buckingham; her children, Robyn (Darran) Hurd and Bryon Buckingham; her grandchildren, Nathan Hurd, Jackson Hurd, Hailey Hurd, Allyson Hurd, Blake Buckingham, and Reese Buckingham; and her sister, Jackie (Mark) Andrews. Jaonne was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Jack Crise.
