Pimentel, age 71 of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026. She was born on February 16, 1955, in Puerto Plata of the Dominican Republic, the daughter of Sigfredo and Ana (Colombo) Pimentel.In 2021 she moved from New York to Orlando, Florida, making it her home. Janira was Catholic by faith, devoted to the Virgin Mary and attended the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church of Kissimmee, Florida. She was a social butterfly and loved by many, it was said that she had an energetic personality that lit up the room anywhere she entered.Janira had a passion and strong curiosity for knowledge that she pursued both professionally and at her own pace. She strived to gather knowledge from anywhere she could and was known to be a bit of an overachiever as she was driven to always better herself and those around her. This led to her many proud achievements such as getting her license to sell life insurance and eventually becoming a paralegal for the immigration department that she passionately worked with for over 10 years.Janira's presence was a true blessing to all of us, she will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.Left to cherish her memory are her son; Juan Colombo of Zurich, Switzerland. Daughters; Gloriann Morales of Orlando, Florida and Diana Urena of Orlando, Florida. Brother; Tancredo Gomez of Austin, Texas. She was blessed with seven grandchildren; Gustavo Lozada, Sebastian Lozada, Natalia Urena, Lia Lozada, Matias Morales, Karla Morales, and Aurora Celeste Colombo. Beloved cousins; Katia Diaz, Vilma Diaz and Patricia Diaz and countless cherished friends.She was preceded in death by both of her parents; Sigfredo and Ana Pimentel.Visitation for Janira will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel, Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home, 511 Emmett Street, Kissimmee, Florida 34741. Services for Janira will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2026, at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Deacon Manuel Rodriguez officiating.
