Janie Reynolds ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Calvert Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2026.Janie White Reynolds, 91, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the home of John and Carol Bullard, in Corinth, under the care of the precious workers of Legacy Hospice, Amanda Thomas, Ms. Rosemary Hastings, Michelle Essary, and Bro. Jon Haimes. Janie was born on November 3, 1934, the sixth of eleven children, to Walter Lee and Ida Lee White of Winston County. Janie graduated from Ellison Ridge High School and from East Mississippi Junior College in Scooba, where she met and later married her husband, Tommy Reynolds. She worked several years for the General Electric Corporation in Columbus, and for Barksdale Realty in West Point, before she and her husband, Tommy, who ran printing presses, went into business for themselves and established West Point Printing and Supply Company.Janie always loved the outdoors and enjoyed growing many flowers, plants, and vegetables. She loved watching the cows, squirrels, birds, and any animal. Janie fed nectar to the hummingbirds every summer as long as she could. She had probably 200 "hummers", as she called them, coming to her feeders every summer. She had a soft, warm heart, but could say what she thought very quickly, whether one liked it or not. She was a generous person and gave much to her family and friends. When she sold her house and property in December, we were told to call all the nieces and nephews to come and get whatever they could use. They were welcome to it.Janie moved in with John and Carol Bullard, her youngest sister, in October 2023. She was easy-going, considerate, and thoughtful. She never complained. When asked if she needed anything, even after her fall, she would say, "I'm okay" or if asked "How are you doing?", she would say, "I'm good."Visitation will be on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Karl Novak officiating and assisted by Bro. Jon Haimes. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Sally Merle Puckett, Ernestine Cockrell, Ethelyne Strait, and Virginia Dale Robertson and three brothers, Walter Earl White, James Cleveland White, and Fred Roland White.Survivors include three sisters, Janelle Ferguson Bracken (Jim) of Loganville, Georgia, Glenda Ann Thomas of Louisville, and Ida Carol Bullard (John) of Corinth, and a host of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be her nephews and great-nephews, Eric Bullard, Kenneth White, Thomas Ferguson, Randall White, Richie White, and Greg Duke.Honorary Pallbearers will be Doctors, Nurses, and Staff of Legacy Hospice.Memorials may be made to Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o Glenda Thomas; 215 Thomas Road, Louisiville, Mississippi 39339.Friends may leave an online condolence at www.calvertfuneralhome.comTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
