Janie Hall

Janie Adams Hall, 79, of Reidsville, North Carolina, passed away on March 14, 2026.

Born on March 2, 1947, in Holt, Florida, to Dan and Mildred Adams, Janie was the middle of five children. She grew up in Florida and graduated from Baker High School. In 1963 she met Hardy Hall, an Air Force serviceman, and they married on July 1, 1966. After Hardy completed his military service, the couple settled in Reidsville.

Janie spent much of her career in hospital purchasing, including at Annie Penn Hospital, before finishing her working years in banking at First National Bank. A longtime member of Baptist Temple Church, she especially cherished her Sunday school class. In her earlier years she found joy in gardening, reading, quilting, and driving her Corvette. She lovingly created quilts for family and friends, including many baby quilts, and gave her final quilt to her great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hardy Hall; their daughter, Kimberly Hall McNeal, and son-in-law, Michael; her granddaughter, Maegan McNeal Shaffner, and grandson-in-law, Brayson; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Lucy Shaffner. She is also survived by her siblings, Billy Adams, Jean Walker, and June Martin, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Dan and Mildred Adams, and her older sister, Wilma Coley.
