Janice Mildred KrusaBluffs - Janice M. Krusa, 85, of Bluffs received her crown of glory and was called home to the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Mar. 6, 2026. She was born Mar. 15, 1940, in Cicero, IL, the daughter of George and Mildred Jackson Pilney. She married Carl W. Krusa in 1962, and he survives.Also surviving are children, Lisa (Darryl) Coan of Staunton, IL; Diane (Mark) Lietz of Springfield, IL; Beth Krusa of St. Louis, MO; and Brad Krusa of Amarillo, TX; eight grandchildren: Benjamin (FI Savannah), Tristan and Ariana Coan; Heidi (Scott) Huber, Keri (Tyler) Harris and Andrea (David) Geers, all Lietz; and Elle and Alex Krusa; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; great-granddaughter, Raegan Harris; and siblings, Donald Pilney and Margaret Blackman.Jan graduated from Presbyterian St. Luke's Nursing School in Chicago in 1964, Jan dedicated her life to the care of others. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bluffs where she was active with LWML. She was also a member of Scott County Home Extension. Jan was one who always reached out to friends and family to talk and sent cards to keep in touch. She enjoyed sewing and attending 4-H and school events for her grandchildren, vacation cruises and antique tractor shows with her husband Carl, vacationing at their winter home in Sebring, FL, but most of all loved her family.A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 10, 2026, at Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 11, 2026, with visitation prior beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bluffs. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the "Jan, Margaret and Lisa Award" (SIUE Foundation) and the Meredosia-Bluffs Volunteer Rescue Squad.
