She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marion Smith and Marion Delois Rowe Smith; her husband Howard Edward Laney; her daughter Tina Mason; her grandson Todd Mason; her great grandchild Levi Smith; and her brothers, Daniel Smith and Charles Smith.

She is survived by: her children, William Howard Laney (Crystal) of Willacoochee and Mary Marie Graham (Scott) of Willacoochee, Georgia; her son-in-law Dennis Mason of Blackshear, Georgia; her sisters, Linda Carver of Willacoochee, Theresa Mathis (Jimmy) of Lakeland and Angie Bowen (Jake) of Douglas, Georgia; and her sister-in-law Carol Wood of Willacoochee, Georgia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel (305 W Ward St, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
