Janice Dixon

Janice Dixon, age 91, of Minneapolis, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born in Austin, Texas, she moved with her family to Minnesota in 1957. She worked for 36 years at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, where her dedication and strong work ethic were well known. Janice deeply loved God and cherished her family above all.

She is survived by her daughter, Alice Dixon, her son, Paul Dixon, grandchildren Douglas Whitfield (Sharrise) and Antoine Dixon, great-grandchildren Aiana Whitfield, Jazz Whitfield, Jayla Whitfield, and Bryant Howard, her sister-in-law Betty Dixon, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Artis Dixon, her mother, Helen Sheffield, and her siblings James Rhambo, Allen Dixon, Eleanor Crowe, Charles Dixon, and Danny Sheffield.

A private family celebration of her life will be held in April.
