Janice C. Williams
June 11, 1944— March 7, 2026
Tampa, FL
Mrs. Janice C. Williams passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on June 11, 1944, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Albert Williams and the late Luedester Dennard Williams, she was cherished as the baby sister by her brothers Clarence Copeland, Luther Copeland, Willie “Bill” Copeland, George Copeland, Alphonso Williams, and Lindsey Williams.
Janice graduated from Middleton Senior High School in 1962. She earned an Associate Degree from Hillsborough Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education from the University of South Florida. With deep devotion to nurturing young minds, she taught for more than 35 years as a classroom instructor at McDonald, Riverhills, and Kenly Elementary Schools.
A lifelong member of Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Janice committed her life to Christ at an early age. She blessed her church family with a beautiful soprano voice, using her many gifts in teaching, administration, technology, ushering, missions, and benevolent work. Her warm hospitality and generous spirit extended far beyond the church walls, touching everyone she met with kindness, encouragement, and Christ’s love.
On November 14, 1970, Janice married Reginald C. Williams. For more than 55 years they shared a loving, inseparable bond, enjoying restaurant outings, classic football games, family gatherings, and traveling together. She is remembered with deep affection by her husband, Deacon Reginald C. Williams; her brother, Deacon Alphonso (Carrie) Williams; her sister-in-law, Imogene Campbell; her dear friend Lorean Reaves; and her beloved church family, along with many other relatives, colleagues, and friends whose lives she enriched.
