Janice A. Carnes

Janice Ann Carnes, 84, of New Kensington, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Westminster Place at Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont. Born on March 3, 1942, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late John James and Olive Rusth Gifford Wilczek.

A lifelong member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, Janice worked as a medical assistant, bank teller, and surgical assistant. She found joy in golfing in her younger years, as well as in reading and music.

She is survived by her brothers, Thomas (Pamela) Wilczek of Oakmont and John (Jean) Wilczek of Penn Hills, and her nephews, Brandon (Nicole) Wilczek and Connor Wilczek of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Wilczek.
