She was born on June 9, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents, the late Robert and Lucille Edwards.Janette is survived by her children, Denise (Dan) Steele, Lynn Morris (Glen Spencer), and Barbara (Don) Rudd; as well as many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Billie Sampson; her parents; daughter, Kristin Clark; and siblings, Margaret Lantz and Roberta Smith.Janette was very proud of her career as a Certified Health Unit Coordinator at Mercy Hospital and Foote Hospital. She took great pride in her work and was known for keeping the unit organized and running smoothly, often helping train new employees and making sure everyone knew how things were done.Above all, Janette was a caring mother and homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She had a special love for animals and always had cats and small dogs, especially her chihuahuas, by her side. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed doing crafts and spending time at home surrounded by those she loved.Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
