Janetta Danielsen, born October 11, 1952, in Upper Tract, West Virginia, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Orlando.
From an early age, Janetta was independent and clear-minded. At eighteen she moved to Washington, DC, for opportunities with the FBI and later the CIA. There she met John H. Danielsen, married him in 1977, and shared nearly fifty years of devoted partnership. Their son, John A., arrived in 1980 and became the center of their world. Janetta spent her life quietly ensuring that her family wanted for nothing.
She worked nearly thirty years as a manager at the Better Business Bureau, where colleagues remembered her as steadfast, patient, intelligent, and graceful. She helped thousands through her work. At home, she tended a remarkable garden, coaxing even the most stubborn plants to thrive. She enjoyed puzzles, classic films, and shopping, and she cared for her cats—Louie, Stewie, and Scotty—with deep affection, extending the same warmth to her grandcats Sammy, Sonny, Teddy, Rocky, and Ollie.
Janetta possessed a quiet sense of humor and an extraordinary dedication to family and friends. She gave fully to those she loved while still finding room for neighbors and anyone in need. She did what needed doing with steady grace and without seeking recognition.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Danielsen; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Allison; her brothers Curtis Kimble Jr., Jack Kimble, and James “Dale” Kimble; her aunt Mary; her niece Christine; her nephew Tony; and her brother-in-law Jim and his wife Marti. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Kimble, and her mother, Evelyn McGuiness.
