Janeth L. Dietrich

Janeth L. Dietrich, 72, of Washington, passed away peacefully at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home on March 14, 2026. Born on October 12, 1953, to James M. Dailey and Mavis C. Dailey, she was preceded in death by her parents.

She married the love of her life, William A. Dietrich, on January 29, 1977. He survives her, along with their sons, Zak (Kristabelle) of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Josh of Washington; granddaughters Madison, Allie, and Ava; and her brother Jim and sister-in-law Becky.

A lifelong member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Jan began her career at Caterpillar in 1972, where she formed many enduring friendships. Above all, she taught her children the importance of family, consistently placing the needs of others before her own. Through her example, she showed them the true value of love, which they have carried forward to their own children. Together with their father, she created a happy and stable home filled with cherished memories that will continue to be shared for years to come.

She will be remembered through those stories and the quiet strength of her love.
