Janet Nelson Garner, 64, of Harkers Island, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, North Carolina.
Born and raised in coastal North Carolina, Janet lived a life deeply connected to her family and the island community she called home. She was known for her quiet strength, warm heart, and steadfast devotion to those she loved. Janet cherished time spent with her family and friends, finding joy in the simple rhythms of island life.
She is survived by her loving family, who will carry forward the memories of her kindness, resilience, and gentle presence in their lives.
