Janet Louise Stringer

Janet Louise Stringer, age 66, passed away on March 4, 2026. Born on May 10, 1959, in Portsmouth, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Fleming Sr. and Ruth Fleming.

Janet was a free spirit who lived life on her own terms. She will be remembered for her carefree nature, warmth, humor, creativity, and passion for music. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and quiet moments, and she cherished her family above all else. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Janet shared a loving 45-year marriage with her husband and took great pride in watching her family grow.

She is survived by her husband, Andre Eugene Stringer, daughters Ebonee Andrea Bachman (Randy Bachman) and Farrah Jan Stringer, and granddaughters Savanah Bachman and Maiori Gilford-Stringer. She is also survived by her siblings Loretta Fleming, Wallace Fleming Jr., Randolph Fleming, Larry Fleming, and Calvin Fleming, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Fleming Sr. and Ruth Fleming, her brother Danny Fleming, and her sisters Jean Fleming-Dixon and Patricia Diane Smith. Her kindness, strength, and deep love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.
