She was born to the late William Cone Pugh and Naomi Rebecca Parkins Pugh on July 11, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio and was the widow of Richard Burcham. She was a Christian who attended Crestwood Christian Church for many years.Janet married her college sweetheart Richard with whom she had four children. She treasured and adored her children and grandchildren, and her love for them was never ending.Janet was a homemaker for many years and then enjoyed working part time at Old Kentucky Chocolates. She was a wonderful cook and baker of sourdough bread, pies, and cookies. Janet made sure no one ever left her house hungry.Janet had the best sense of humor and loved to laugh, especially with her sister Jean. They shared a special bond. We will all miss the twinkle in her eye. Dementia may have stolen her memories, but the impact she had on her family will be remembered forever.In addition to her husband of 42 years and her parents, she was preceded in passing by one son, Barry Burcham. Those left to cherish dear memories of Janet are three children, Gary Burcham, Sheri (Wayne) Shaver, and Mary Kay "Katie" Burcham; six grandchildren: Amanda (Jeramie) Myers, Sarah (Josh) Adams, Samantha (Tim) Moore, Stephanie (Andrew) Chelton, Natalie (Ryan Gilkerson) Blake, and Alan Burcham; nine great-grandchildren: Alyssa Quinn, Kaiden Myers, Carter Adams, Tyler Adams, Ben Moore, Ethan Moore, Annie Moore, Calvin Chelton, and Claire Louise Chelton; and one great-great-granddaughter, Jayden Nava.The family is grateful for the many years of love and kindness from her dear friend Sharon Adams. The family is also thankful for the compassionate care Janet received from Cedarhurst Senior Living of Beaumont and Sayre Christian Village.A private burial service will be held for the family at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lord's Legacy Life Ministries, which provides housing and daily activities for Janet's daughter Katie.https://www.lordslegacyministries.org/donateTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
