Janet Lee Selleck
October 26, 1954— March 9, 2026
Riverdale, UT
Janet Lee Selleck, 71, of Riverdale, Utah, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, after a brief illness.
Born in Oakland, California, Janet was raised in Concord, where she graduated from Concord High School in 1972. She made her home in Hudson, Florida for many years before moving to Utah in 2017. A deeply spiritual woman, she accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior in her teenage years and lived with a quiet, abiding faith, always drawn to all things heavenly.
Janet was a gifted, self-taught artist whose beautiful and distinctive style was entirely her own. From childhood she loved drawing babies and children, tenderly capturing their innocence and wonder in ways that touched many hearts. She also held a lifelong love for cats, sharing her home with one or two feline companions who were her dearest friends and greatest comforts. No stray ever went hungry in her care.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard James Selleck and Joanne Kuhlman Selleck. Janet is survived by her three beloved children, Jennette Dimitt Hogan (Clark Hogan), Rebecca Hunt Euler (John Euler), and Ryan Christopher Hunt (Adrenne Hunt); nine cherished grandchildren, Holly Hunt, Tyler Hunt, Charlotte Hunt, Kaytlin White Hoogs (Desmond), Adrienne White, Jackson White, Benjamin Hogan, Samson Hogan, and Madelyn Hogan; and one great-grandson, Harper Dalyn Hoogs. She is also survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Karan Selleck McCaughy (Joel Gingery), Jean Selleck Baney, and Patricia Selleck Purcell (Wayne Purcell), along with many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will always remember her with kindness. Her love of family, her artistic soul, and her tender heart for animals and children will live on in everyone she touched so deeply.
