As Janet departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Janet leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred A. Berry and Fannie W. Berry (Carter); and her husband Jim Whitmore. She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki L. Langston (Larry) of Odessa, Florida, Lisa M. Coates of Durham, Lori J. Parker of Tampa, Florida and Julie A. Tucker (Rick) of Apalachin; her grandchildren, Adam Langston, Erin Gilbert and Spencer Thoman; and her great grandchildren, Colton Gilbert and Cooper Gilbert.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Melech Hospice House (11125 N 52nd St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617).
