Janet Kauker

Janet Kauker, 77, of Bay Village, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Born on October 16, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to Steve and Helen Jowske, Janet earned her degree in early childhood education from the University of Michigan. She devoted herself to her marriage and the raising of her two sons, while finding great joy in traveling, especially the many Caribbean cruises she shared with loved ones over the years.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Tom; her sisters, Carol and Nancy; her sons, Scott (Kristin) and Evan (Olivia); and her cherished granddaughters, Madelynn, Norah, and Chloe. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael.

Janet will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, her family will celebrate her life privately.
