Janet "Jan" Jennings Bonnette Bland

Janet “Jan” Jennings Bonnette Bland passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her residence in Slidell, Louisiana, at the age of 63. She was born on Sunday, November 18, 1962, in New Orleans.

Jan is survived by her sons, Herman Bonnette III. (Alissa) and Eddie Jennings; grandson, Herman Bonnette, IV.; brothers, Eddie Jennings, Jr. and Jerry Jennings (Audrey); nephew, Paul Herkes, Jr. (Angel); and niece, Jennifer Jennings; Also survived by many great nieces and nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Herman Bonnette, Jr.; parents, Geraldine “Gerry” Nata Jennings and Eddie Jennings, Sr.; sister, Terri Lynn Jennings Herkes; and niece, Jessica Chantel Jennings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Jan’s Life at the Bonnette Residence, 1214 St. Christopher St., Slidell, Louisiana 70460 on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
