She was born on January 30, 1937 in Lorain, Ohio. She was a secretary for the Ford Motor Company and a bank teller with Lorain National Bank, retiring in 1999. Janet was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria, where she ushered for over 12 years. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan who also enjoyed attending all her children's sporting events.She is survived by her children Kirk M. Knisely, Ken P. Knisely and Lisa J. Knisely, granddaughter Megan, great-granddaughter Jaylee and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Knisely, brothers David and Nelson and sister Norma.The family will receive friends on Friday March 20, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at the MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, 36363 Detroit Rd.
