Janet Elaine LaLonde

Janet LaLonde, age 85, of Washington Twp. Michigan, passed away on March 15, 2026. Janet was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Albert and Catherine (Leupen) Carlson.

Janet graduated from Redford High School in Detroit and Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. Janet spent most of her professional career teaching in the Warren Consolidated School System.

Janet is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary LaLonde, of Washington Twp., MI, daughters Kathryn Hamilton of Shelby Twp. MI, and Deborah (Eric) Erhardt of Memphis MI, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Dear sister of John (Carol) Carlson.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 19, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, 11280 32 Mile, Romeo, MI. 48095, and on Friday, March 20 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Fellowship, 7525 32 Mile Road, Romeo, MI. 48065. The service will follow at 11 AM.
