Janet D Simpkins

Janet Delores Simpkins, 90, of Christiansburg, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026. Born in Kentucky to the late Carl McKee and Evelyn Elliott McKee, Janet lived a long life marked by quiet strength and deep devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sue Scott and her siblings Wanda June Riley, Donald McKee, Clayton McKee, and Rachel Simpson. Janet is remembered fondly by her husband, Rodney Chester Simpkins; her children, Judy Lee Hinton and Randy Carl Spence; her siblings, Carolyn Heisler, Diane Jenkins, and Shirley Grooms; and her stepdaughters, Barbara Simpkins and Vicky Simpkins, along with a wide circle of extended family and friends who cherished her presence.

A private burial will take place at Big Sands Cemetery in Indian Valley.
