Lewis, 90, passed away Friday March 6, 2026 at the Autumn Woods Health Campus. She was born in New Albany, the former Janell King. She was a Sales Representative in the Newspaper industry, and was a member of the Psi Iota Xi(Si-Otes) Sorority, she was an avid bridge player and in her younger days was a tremendous swimmer and a member of the Colonial Club Swim Team. Above all else, she enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years: James R. Lewis Jr., her mother: Mary Pearson and her brother-in-law: Gerry Lewis.Janell is survived by her loving family, her daughters: Beth Turton(Kelly) and Sally Newkirk(Mike) her sons: Dave Lewis(Kathy) and Dean Lewis(Maureen), 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren, her sisters-in-law: Anne Lewis Bell(Guy) and Barb Lewis, and many nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Janell's life will be held on Friday March 13, 2026 at 6 PM at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1119 E.
