It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janell K. Lewis (New Albany, Indiana), who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Janell find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by: her husband James R. Lewis Jr.; her mother Mary Pearson; and her brother-in-law Gerry Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Beth Turton (Kelly), Sally Newkirk (Mike), Dave Lewis (Kathy) and Dean Lewis (Maureen); and her sisters-in-law, Anne Lewis Bell (Guy) and Barb Lewis. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E Market St, New Albany, IN 47150). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
