Jane S Perez

Jane Perez, age 93, of Adrian, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family and under the loving care of Hospice of Lenawee. Born on June 1, 1932, in Sanderson, Texas, to Jose and Emma (Poster) Salazar, she married Jesse Perez on June 28, 1952, in Adrian. Jane worked at General Motors until her retirement in 1988. A devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the church choir, the Thursday Prayer Group, the Guadalupe Society, and Cursillo. She found joy in golfing, crafts, baking, and cooking, but nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Anderson of Adrian; her brother, Lee Salazar of Adrian; two grandchildren, Monica Faz and Ryan Shelley; and many nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesse, five brothers—Jesse, Jose, Guadalupe, Rudy, and John—and three sisters, Maria, Manuela, and Rosie, as well as a granddaughter in infancy, Antoinette Faz.
