Jane Margaret Johnson

January 9, 1953 March 9, 2026

Vero Beach, FL

Jane Margaret Johnson, born Jane Margaret Grossman on January 9, 1953, passed away at her home in Vero Beach, Florida, on March 9, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born to the late John and Lorraine (McCray) Grossman, the third of four children, Jane met her future husband, Paul Robert Johnson, as a child while living in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They married on July 16, 1977, and built a life together that began in Michigan before expanding across the world. They raised three sons, Timothy, Benjamin, and David, and shared many cherished years living abroad in London, Germany, and Dubai until Paul’s passing on January 9, 2004.

Jane lived a minimalist life marked by a generous heart. She found deep satisfaction in supporting fundraisers and lending her time to various support groups. An avid reader, she enjoyed novels and spent many hours at Barnes & Noble. She also took pleasure in classic television shows, murder mysteries, and the companionship of her beloved dogs Odie and Buddy and her cat Lyla. Above all, she was known for her kindness and generosity, serving as a steadfast example of a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Her greatest joy came from watching her family grow, never missing a birthday, holiday, wedding, or milestone, and acting as a quiet source of strength for those she loved.

Jane is survived by her sons, Timothy (Brandi), Benjamin (Katherine), and David (Valerie); her sister, Mary; her brother, Jim (Holly); her four grandchildren, Caleb, Madison, Amelia, and Eloise; and many cherished nieces and nephews, including Kate (Matt), Julia (Allen), Emma, Laura, Christine, John, Dennis, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her brother, Jack; and her brother-in-law, Jack, and sister-in-law, Megen. Her passing marks a long-awaited reunion with her beloved husband and a return to the presence of the Lord.
