Jane was born in Fort Wayne on March 1, 1951, the daughter of the late George F. and Lois (Kintz) Gibson. She graduated from Central Catholic with the Class of '69 was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Associate Community. Jane enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; working crosswords & puzzles, spending cherished time with family & friends, or just being outdoors and enjoying the sunshine, but she was always up for an adventure whenever the opportunity arose. Jane retired from Lincoln Life after 40+ years with the company.In addition to her parents, Jane was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rose Gibson and Becky Rodgers; a brother, George D. Gibson, and a niece, Jessica Bierbaum.She is survived by her sister, Suzanne (Charles) Bierbaum of New Haven; nieces, Jennifer (Matt) DeHaven and Sarah Bierbaum; nephews, Jeff (Aimee) Bierbaum and Andrew Rodgers, and great nieces, Libby, Allison and Emily Bierbaum, all of Fort Wayne.Funeral Mass 10:30am Wednesday March 18, 2026 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd. with visitation from 930-1030 in the church. Visitation also on Tuesday from 4-7pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with the Rosary at 330pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
