Jane Massey ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Clark Funeral Home - Neosho on Mar. 17, 2026.Jane Ellen Massey passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 59. Jane was born on April 18, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan to Ray and Betty (Seay) Crews.Jane met the love of her life, Gary Massey in 1987, while they were attending pharmacy school together. On December 16, 1989, Gary and Jane were wed in Carthage, Missouri and began their 36-year journey through life together.Jane was an amazing woman. After graduating from West Plains High School, she attended SBU in Bolivar getting her prerequisites for the UMKC School of Pharmacy. She graduated in 1989 and spent the better part of fifteen years working for Wal-Mart Pharmacies across the state. In 2003, Jane and Gary moved to Neosho and purchased Jon's Pharmacy and later Noel Pharmacy. She gracefully balanced her career, ministries, hobbies, and, most important to her, building a family. Jane's heart for ministry led her to be involved in medical mission trips to Senegal and Ecuador. Locally she faithfully served in and loved her church, First Baptist Church of Neosho. Carenet Pregnancy Center was yet another passion Jane dedicated herself to from its inception, serving multiple times as their board President. Her hobbies often spilled over into ministry as well. A city girl turned farm girl, she enjoyed photography, playing piano, crafting, even taking up fly fishing and hunting later in life. She was an amazing cook and had the gift of "gener-ospitality", as she loved to have friends and family in her home and she always made everyone feel welcome and important. With all her interest, family was always her priority. She loved her kids unconditionally, and her grandchildren were a blessing that caused her to beam from ear to ear…Of all she did and all she was, being "Gran" was her favorite.Jane is survived by her husband, Gary Massey; their children: Sara Massey (Torey Prahl) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Emily Millard (Matthew) of Neosho, Missouri, and Benjamin Massey of Bentonville, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Evelyn and Charlotte Millard; her father, Dr. S. Ray Crews of Neosho, Missouri; siblings, Carol Steed (Roy) of Springdale, Arkansas, and John Crews (Jo) of Benton, Arkansas; her mother-in-law, Linda Massey of Neosho, Missouri; her brothers-in-law, Lance Massey (Melissa) of Neosho, Missouri, Brent Massey (Melissa) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
