Jane Houle ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Lyndahl Funeral Home on Feb. 27, 2026.Jane Elizabeth Houle, 90, of Green Bay passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Frontida Allouez Senior Living.Jane was born on January 11, 1936 in Ewen, Michigan to Walter and Evelyn (Hanson) Nashland. She was a graduate of Ewen High School. On June 8, 1957, she married Theodore "Ted" Houle. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2024. In her early years, Jane worked as a teller at Ewen State Bank. She then dedicated herself and took great pride in raising their family.Jane was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid Green Bay Packer, Milwaukee Brewers, and UWGB Basketball fan. Jane enjoyed sewing, playing bridge, and cherished time spent with friends and family.Jane was survived by her children: Brian (Lori) Houle, Bonnie Schaefer, and Beth (Tom) Eggert; grandchildren: Sean (Holland) Houle, Samantha (special friend Evan) Houle, Casey (Maria) Houle, Brady (special friend Michelle) Houle, Cody (Rachelle) Schaefer, Hailey (fiancé Taylor) Schaefer, Madeline (special friend Joe) Eggert, Carly Eggert, and Carter (special friend Skyler) Eggert; great-grandchildren: Connor, Miles, Oakley, Hudson, Indie, Wilder, Blaire, and Weston; sister: Judy Groonwald; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Mary Lou Wegerbauer and Dr. Thomas Houle; and lifelong best friend: Lois Gracyalny. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jane was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Evelyn Nashland; husband: Theodore "Ted" Houle; brother: Walter "Buzz" (Linda) Nashland; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Theodore J. and Carrie Houle; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Carl Groonwald, Dorothy Maki, Mary Jane Houle, Gladys Somers, Dr. Ronald Houle, and Rita (Dick) Kruecher.A funeral service to celebrate Jane's life will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe Street. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
