Jamye was born on December 15, 1967, in the Bronx, New York. During her childhood, her family moved frequently due to her father's work before eventually settling in Michigan, where she graduated from high school. She worked for Meijer for roughly nine years, and it was there that she met the love of her life, Anthony Berard. Their first date was at the Southfield Civic Center, the beginning of a relationship that would grow into a lifelong partnership. Jamye and Anthony were married on April 24, 1998, at Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church in Beverly Hills, Michigan. Jamye often said that meeting Anthony felt like meeting her "twin flame," a bond that defined her life and love. In her free time, Jamye enjoyed listening to country music on cassette tapes, especially songs by Garth Brooks. She also loved writing and expressing her thoughts through words. Known for her insight and depth, she cherished engaging in deep and meaningful conversations with those she loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who know her.
