Jamie Shawn Pourciau

Jamie Shawn Pourciau, born June 29, 1990, passed away on February 15, 2026. A loving father, son, brother, and friend, Jamie faced the challenges of addiction yet remained a man who loved deeply and without reservation. His greatest joy came from his children—Jaelyn, Mari, and Jamie Pourciau, Jr.—and his mother, Mary, who were the light of his life. Those who knew him remember him not for his struggles, but for the warmth and light he brought into their lives, and for the empathy, understanding, and hope his story continues to inspire.

Jamie believed in Jesus Christ as his savior. He now rests in the peace he long sought, held in God’s mercy and reunited with his beloved mother.

He is survived by his wife Melissa, their children Jaelyn, Mari, and Jamie Jr., his father Gerald, sisters Wendy Woodworth and Kasie Pourciau, grandfather Clebert Boudreaux, and many other family members who will cherish his memory. Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Boudreaux Pourciau, maternal grandparents Delores and Rick Noland and Margie Boudreaux, and paternal grandparents Joyce and Gerald Pourciau. He was especially grateful for the opportunity, friendship, and guidance given to him by Joseph Sanchez, owner of Spudtacular Tubers, where Jamie truly loved his work.
