Jamie Byron Richards, Sr., of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away at his residence on March 10, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on May 7, 1969, in Bethlehem to the late Vincent Elsworth Richards, Sr. and Jean Ann (Talbot) Richards, Jamie grew up in the town that would remain his lifelong home. He attended Liberty High School, where he began to show the strong sense of purpose and dedication that would shape the rest of his life.
After high school, Jamie honorably served his country for ten years in the United States Navy as a member of the Seabees. Upon returning to civilian life, he built a successful career as a drywall contractor in the construction industry. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship and natural ability to lead and inspire others, Jamie took pride in hard work, integrity, and creating something enduring. He was also a passionate carpenter who found joy in working with his hands.
Jamie is survived by his devoted children, Kaylee Ruiz and her husband Dennis of Germansville, and Jamie Byron Richards Jr. and his significant other Stefanie Kehm of Greentown. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Danica, Nicholas, Gabrielle, D.J., and Sterling, who will remember his playful spirit and boundless affection. He is also survived by his siblings, Vincent Elsworth Richards, Jr., Leslie Cochran, and Erica Link, all of Bethlehem, along with his niece Samantha and nephews William and Steven. He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Mertz.
