James Wince “Jim” Cline, 93, of Litchfield, passed away on March 8, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. Born on March 31, 1932, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to Marvin and Vergie (Bowlen) Cline, Jim served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He later retired from Harvard Industries in Albion after 32 years of service.
Jim was known for his love of playing cards, often hosting lively poker games every Saturday night at home. He enjoyed squirrel hunting and coon hunting, proudly owning a Grand Nite Champion dog, and he also raised fighting chickens. On April 8, 1978, he married Eloise Cline, who survives him.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his daughters Diane (Dale) Kieft and Terry Lynn (Carl) Allen; his sons Dale (Ellen) Miller, Christopher (Betsy) Genther, and Warren (Vicki) Genther; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sherry Lavonda Jones; one son, Daryl Burkwalt; three sisters, Mae Stanley, Minnie Jean Hensley, and Jaceline Beene; and four brothers, Marvin Cline Jr., Jack Cline, Virgil Cline, and Levon Cline.
