James Ramseyer ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Marianna Chapel Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.James "Jimmy" William Ramseyer, age 69, of Grand Ridge, FL passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.James was born on January 30, 1957 in Miami, FL to the late Joan and Theodore "Ted" Ramseyer. In 1996, James met the love of his life, Brenda, then married in 2003. James was an avid paint and body repair man who took great pride in his work and his customers. He enjoyed fishing, camping and attending antique car shows in his spare time. He was a man of faith and devoted family man with a passion for making others happy. He was know for his charming personality and simple acts of kindness that left lasting impressions with all of those who knew him. Though he will be greatly missed his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. His family and friends will also remember his talent of being quite the story teller - James always had a story to tell for every occasion.He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jason C. Ramseyer; and brother, John D. Ramseyer.James is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Brenda H. Ramseyer of Grand Ridge, FL; son, Eric Holton and wife, Kandice of Grand Ridge, FL; daughters, Amanda Burke (Justin) of Palm Beach, FL, Cassandra "Cassie" Slayton and husband, Parker of Roanoke, VA, Rita Barber and husband, Greg of Lynn Haven, FL; sister, Kathy Roulston of Cleveland, OH; his second mother, Margaret Zeigler; as well as twelve beloved grandchildren and his loyal dog, Lulu.A private family service will be at a later date.
