He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Elizabeth Maki; and his parents, Willio Maki and Eleanor Maki. He is survived by: his sons, Scot Maki (Maricielo) and Kevin Maki (Jaelynn); his granddaughters, Margo, Mia and Marina; and his siblings, Jerry Maki (Clarence Wong) and Marilyn Knepper (Jeff).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Crescent Tide Cremation Services (34427 Majestic Pine Dr, Sturgeon Lake, MN 55783).
