(Grimm) House. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed him into his heavenly home.James devoted more than 30 years of his career working for CSX Railroad, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. In the latter part of his career, he served as a supervisor for 18 years at the Huntington Locomotive Shop and Russell Locomotive Shop, earning the respect of those he worked alongside. He took great pride in his work and approached his responsibilities with seriousness and integrity.A man of deep faith, James was active in the Lord's work at First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio, where he was grateful for the leadership and friendship of Pastor Jeff Black. His faith was an important part of his life, and he valued the fellowship and community he found there.James is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Kay (Lisanti) House; his son, Gregory Austin House, and Gregory's wife, Shauntay Elizabeth House; his cherished grandchildren, Ezra House, James House, and Eden Jane House; and his sister, Linda D. (House) Nester and her husband, the Rev. Donald A. Nester, of Royston, Georgia.A funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Jeff Black, officiating.
