James Weeks

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Weeks (Montevallo, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Weeks and Connie Weeks. He is survived by: his wife Nita Weeks; and his stepsons, John Paul Jones (Shelley) and Larry Howard. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).

The family will accept flowers or you may consider making memorial donations in his honor to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
