James Thomas Raymond

James Thomas Raymond, of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, passed away on March 5, 2026, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota, surrounded by love and faith.

Born on April 5, 1948, in Red Lake Falls, James was the beloved son of Felix Joseph Raymond and Eva (Perreault) Raymond. He grew up in the close-knit community of Red Lake Falls, attending St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduating from LaFayette High School. Baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith, he maintained a lifelong connection to St. Joseph Catholic Church. James lived a quiet, steady life rooted in family, community, and the values instilled by his parents. Known for his gentle presence, he worked for many years at Homark in Red Lake Falls before retiring. He found simple joy in the game of golf and cherished the routines and relationships that defined his days.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Eva Raymond; his sister, Julie Ferderer; and his brother-in-law, Bruce Foster. He is survived by his siblings, Wayne (Ruth) Raymond, Carol Foster, Diane (Vernon) Nowacki, and Michael (Sherry) Raymond; his brother-in-law, Bob Ferderer; and many extended family members, friends, and community members who will remember him with lasting affection and gratitude.
