James T. Wozniak

James T. Wozniak, Sr., age 85, of Erie, passed away at his residence on March 13, 2026. Born in Erie on March 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Stanley “Jake” and Anna O. (Maly) Wozniak.

A U.S. Navy veteran, James worked at G.E. Transportation for 25 years. He found great joy in gardening, boating, and golfing, yet nothing meant more to him than the time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Elijah Comer, his brother, Paul Wozniak, and his daughter-in-law, Peggy Wozniak.

James is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lynette (Lorence) Wozniak; his children, Patricia Gyuratz (Frank), Catherine Reynolds (Gene “Chip”), James T. Wozniak, Jr., and William Wozniak (Wendy); his sister, Therese Wilson (Bill); four grandchildren, Jacob, Heather, Joseph, and Valerie; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
