James T. McNeil

James T. McNeil, age 84, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown.

Born in Middletown on March 9, 1941, to the late James D. and Mary (Horler) McNeil, Jim grew up in Unionville and had lived in Greenville for the past 54 years. He was a co-owner of the Minisink Rubber Co. in Unionville. An avid reader and passionate student of American history, Jim followed in his mother’s footsteps to become a local historian for the Minisink Heritage Museum. He was also a dedicated Hot Rod enthusiast and car builder who earned numerous awards over the years.

Jim was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, RoseMarie (DeSantis) McNeil; his sons, Jim McNeil and his partner Marli Fracaro, and Jeffrey McNeil; his sisters, Karen Sonnergren and Marilyn Stearns and brother-in-law Rod; his brother, Daniel McNeil and his wife Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
