Hayes of Westborough, Massachusetts, born in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Hayes and Julia Hayes (Barron); and his siblings, John "Jackie" Hayes and Mary Ann McMahon. He is survived by: his wife Dana Hayes (Lietuvninkas); his children, Dianna E. Chiott (Matthew) of Duxbury, Ruth M. Hayes of Acton and James J. Hayes (Alicia) of Acton; and his grandchildren, Patrick J. Steeves, Anastasia M. Steeves, Julia D. Hayes and Madeline A. Hayes.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home (62 W Main St, Westborough, MA 01581). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Luke the Evangelist Church (70 W Main St, Westborough, MA 01581). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the St. Luke's Cemetery.
