James Sydney Bunch, age 102, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away on March 10, 2026. He was born on January 17, 1924, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Robert W. Bunch and Paralee Ruth Foshee Bunch.
After graduating from Pensacola High School in Pensacola, Florida, in May 1942, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He soon transferred to the Army Air Corps, where he trained as a pilot and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. He served his country as a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert Bunch Jr. and Eugene Bunch, his son Michael Bunch, and his daughter Joanne Bunch.
James is survived by his sister Carolyn Magness (Perry) of Magness, Arkansas; his daughters Barbara Webb (Roy) of Matawan, New Jersey, and Linda Bunch of Phoenix, Arizona; his son Jimmy Bunch of Atlanta, Georgia; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
