James Steven Cox, 76, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born on December 22, 1949, in Miami, Arizona, to James Calvin and Iva Mae (Jackson) Cox, he was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Billy Cox, and his sisters June Clubb and Bernice Boadway.
James is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Cox; his son JC (Anglya) Cox; his daughters Amber (Wade) Kramer, Mikayla (Caleb) Whitmire, Sandy (Charlie) Fryar, and Ellen Davis; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sister Dorothy Elder; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
He lived a life rooted in family and faith, leaving behind a legacy of love that touched all who knew him.
