James "Jimmy" Skentzos

James "Jimmy" Skentzos

Salem, MA

James George Skentzos passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2026. He was the beloved son of Peter J. Skentzos of Placida, Florida, and Christine Skentzos of Tewksbury, Massachusetts. He was the dear nephew of Constance Karatheodore of Reading, Massachusetts, and the loving cousin of John Karatheodore of St. Charles, Illinois, Stacia Karatheodore of North Andover, Massachusetts, Daphne Snow of Wilmington, North Carolina, Vasiliki Diamantis of Bratenahl, Ohio, and Marie, Jordan, and George Geannaris of Reading, Massachusetts.

Raised north of Boston, Jimmy graduated from Salem High School and became a master barber, a profession he loved deeply. Cutting hair was more than a job to him; it was an art and a true calling. He took great pride in his work and spent his final years working alongside his father, pursuing their shared dream of opening a barbershop together. Jimmy was known for his sharp sense of humor, his love of movies, and his easygoing, genuine personality that drew people to him naturally.

As an only child, Jimmy shared an especially close bond with both of his parents. Family meant everything to him, and he cherished the time spent with his mother in Massachusetts as well as the past two years living in Placida, Florida, with his father, where they created lasting memories together.

Jimmy will be remembered for the pride he took in his craft and the laughter he brought to those around him. His constant and genuine love for family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
