He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" McKeen (Tweedie); his parents, James S. McKeen, Sr. and Margaret McKeen (Peg); and his grandfather Jim. He is survived by: his children, Michael William McKeen of Columbus, OH and Marla Joy Bruschi (Paul) of Brentwood; his grandchildren, Paul James "PJ" Bruschi and Kellie Lynne Bruschi; his sister Alice Yearsley (James); and his sister-in-law Carolyn Johnson (Budd). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
