James Russell Carlson

James Russell Carlson, age 75 of Alvin, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2026 at HCA Clear Lake Hospital in Webster, Texas. Born on June 2, 1950 in Houston, Texas, he had made Alvin his home since 1995. James served his country for ten years in the United States Navy and later worked for twenty years as a millwright. He was proud to call Texas his lifelong home.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Frederick Carlson Jr., his mother, Lorraine Moreno, and his son-in-law, David Clinton Swaim, Jr.

James is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Reba Carlson; his daughter, Jennifer L. Swaim; his granddaughter, Rebecca M. Swaim; his sisters, Sandra Cody and Tina McKinney; and many extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
