James Sherwood ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Chapel By The Sea on Mar. 9, 2026.On January 25th 2026, we lost a great man. James Richard Sherwood was taken from us way too soon. He was a beloved and devoted husband, and a best friend to his wife, Deborah Denise Sherwood. Known as Jimmy Jam to his close friends, James was a child of God who loved Jesus Christ very much.He was a unique, one-of-a-kind person-a true original. He was the devoted father of his daughter, Breonna Sherwood. James was the son of the late Donald Alvin Sherwood and Linda (Kay) Zohner Sherwood. He was the brother to Randy Sherwood and Lisa Sherwood. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and very many close friends. In his friendships, James would do anything for anybody at any time.He is preceded in death by his mother and father. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but we take comfort in knowing he is with his Lord.A viewing for close friends and family will be held at the Chapel by the Sea Mortuary in Fort Bragg, California. For those who choose to attend, please contact his wife, Deborah, to let her know if you plan to be there, as she is the sole person handling the arrangements.
