James Raymond Bennett, age 71, was born on December 29, 1954 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Billy and Margie (Garrett) Bennett Sr. He passed away on March 8, 2026 in Kansas City, Kansas.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Margie Bennett Sr., his sister Judy Valentine, and his brothers Billy Bennett Jr. and Tim Bennett.
He is survived by his children Stuart Sneed of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Jeannie Kendrick of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Jessie Hicks of Parkville, Missouri, as well as his sister Jessie Hamel of McLouth, Kansas. Those who knew him will remember him with deep affection and will miss him greatly.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
